Fisherman's Folklore

Back in the days when cod was king, from fish came fame and fortune! Turning to the great Atlantic, Lunenburg’s seafood industry gave rise to our notoriety around the world.

Today, our working waterfront is still vibrant and home to several tall ships including the legendary Bluenose II. Our friendly guides will haul up tales from the sea and you’ll learn about the glory and the hardships of the seafaring days.

Tour starts outside the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic (68 Bluenose Dr.) and follows a level route along the working waterfront. Our Fisherman's Folklore tour is the best way to get your sea legs during your visit to Lunenburg!
